New Scoundrelles album "Atomic Batteries To Power!" will be released in the summer by Bang! Records to complete their monopoly on ex-Scientists' output (they have already released Boris Sujdovic's "Fuzz Machine" and "Rock Formations" by Kim Salmon's 7 Guitar Outfit, "Salmon"). See the "News" page for more info. We've had problems with the Scoundrelles' contact email address but this has now been fixed. Apologies to anyone who may have (legitimately) tried to send us a message via the contacts page over the past 18 months!

See "News & GIGS" section for more info.

Not Formed in London in 1997, the Scoundrelles create melodic and expansive songs, often suggesting the abstractions of The Flaming Lips or Mercury Rev. Songs like Head On also display a propulsive, rocking chug reminiscent of Slade, although with more stellar lyrics. The insanely catchy Calling All Cars displays a pop heart worthy of the Beatles and Big Star and As Demons Go and Hard Workin' B7 Surface Receptor catch them at a disarming cross between the Monkees and Lee Hazlewood (on helium). The Scoundrelles comprise Tony Thewlis (Vocals & Guitar), Hugh Gulland (Bass), Diggory Kenrick, (Vocals & Guitar), Yan Quellien (Drums) and Robert Coyne (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards).
